What's all the fuss about?

I have been playing around with verses one and two of Colossians, chapter one. Let’s finish the sentence (Col 1.1-3a) today.

We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you,  since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love that you have for all the saints,  because of the hope laid up for you in heaven.

“...the hope laid up for you in heaven.”

It’s funny how we at times pray so earnestly that sick old people won’t die.

And we do it all the more so, for sick young ones.

Sure, I like a miracle as much as the next guy, but the very reason most of us joined the Jesus team was because we thought heaven by grace was one mighty fine deal.

So why do we make such a fuss about going there?

The hope of heaven.

I want it.
