My son Jason commented on yesterday’s musings,

suggesting that Bible Project’s video on the book is good.

I watched it, it ain’t good.

It is great.

Those Bible Project guys are amazing... not only do they draw nice pictures,

they have the uncanny ability to say a whole lot in a few words.

Unlike Marcos.

I am awed by something they brought out in the video.

“At the end of the book of the previous book, Exodus,Moses (as Israel’s representative) could not even enter God’s presence in the tent.

The book of Leviticus opens by reminding us of this fundamental problem.

It says, ‘The Lord called Moses FROM the temple.’.”

I don’t know who they think they are,

I am the one who is supposed to discover and muse on little things like that!

Probably they are wrong, I boisterously reasoned.

So I checked out Exodus 40.35.

And Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting…

Your favorite muser missed this one.

What's in a name?

One of the things that complicates the Levitical sacrifices for my simple mind, is that different versions give them different names, all while seemingly staying faithful to the original languages. (I
