Standing up for justice

Seems like, in his DNA, Moises had a fervent disliking of injustice.

We remember he killed a man who was mistreating a slave.

And today we see him jump into a fray, upon his arrival in Midian:

seven daughters…they came and drew water

and filled the troughs to water their father's flock.

The shepherds came and drove them away,

but Moses stood up and saved them,

and watered their flock.

Ex 2.16-17

The One who called out to Moises from the burning bush,

“I am Who I am,”

likewise loathes in justice,

and loves justice.

For that very reason, because He loves justice,

“I am Who I am” also stood up,

He was nailed up,

He saved us,

and opened up the flow of living water for us.
