David has three suggestions for God on what to remember and what to forget.

  1. Remember Your mercy and love

  2. Don’t remember how I blew in my past

  3. Do remember me!

Remember your mercy, O LORD, and your steadfast love, for they have been from of old.  Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to your steadfast love remember me, for the sake of your goodness, O LORD!

Psalm 25.6-7

But David delighted in that kind of relationship with his God!
