Paul states that it was Jesus’ resurrection that proved He is the Son of God.

And it was the Holy Spirit Who raised Him.

That part I knew.

What is grabbing my attention this morning, there in Romans 1.4,  is that the powerful Spirit of God who orchestrated the powerful act of dead raising, is referred to here as the Spirit of Holiness.

Yeah, I know He is the Spirit of holiness, but I notice that this is the nickname to which the Father refers to Him, specifically, here. You’d think it would have been more fitting to call him, in this particular scenario, the Spirit of Power.

Hold on a minute...

I am beginning to see it more clearly.

The Spirit of holiness raised the Holy Son from the grave as that Holy Son conquered unholy sin.

Makes all the sense in the world.
