The lady goes, the disciples come.

Jesus tells the twelve that His food is to do the Father’s will and finish the work. He tells them they need to lift up their eyes and see the overflowing ripeness of the fields, ready for harvest.


And they must stop saying, “We can begin mañana.”

“Now is when!” the Lord emphasizes.

I am good up to there, I get it.

But this next part [4.36], I don’t get.


The reapers are now receiving paychecks.

And they are, “Gathering fruit for eternal life.”


What’s that all about?

And what is fruit FOR eternal life?
