Very newtestamental

Solomon penned Psalm 72. Good ole Sol was a pretty sharp guy, although he did seem to sometimes have trouble practicing what he preached. Kind of like the guy in my mirror.
Here in 72, he is asking God to make him the kind of man he wants to be, and the kind of king he needs to be. It’s a bit similar to when he was starting out and had that conversation with God about “help me be wise”.
Verse one is very newtestamental. Instead of saying, “Help me be good and holy,” he asks to be clothed in God’s justice and righteousness:
“Give the king your justice, O God, and your righteousness to the royal son.”
That is exactly what we got from the royalist of the royal sons!
