And he is the head of the body, the church.

Colossians 1.18a

 

He is the head.

 

I realize that when I focus in on that concept, I see a body, arms and legs, and a round-shaped Jesus on top of the neck.

 

But as I read it today I am realizing that, though my body-church image is a tiny bit valid, Jesus is the head of the body. That translates to him being the jefe, the boss, the CEO. He is the one running the show.

 

I think we know it; then why don't we live it?
