You be the judge

I understand the concept of degrees of punishment, I get it that those who have been blessed with more revelation have more responsibility to respond to God.

But I read about “rising up”, and He’s not talking about baking bread, He is talking about judgment.

The queen of the south shall rise up in judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here. Lu 11.31

The men of Nineveh shall rise up in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here. Lu 11:32

Is this purely symbolic?

Personification, perhaps?

Or is there more to it?

Does it have to do with what Paul mentions in 1 Co 6:2-3?

Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world?

Know ye not that we shall judge angels?
