Genesis 12, 15, 17… their opening verses,

God declares blessing, promise, and covenant to Abram.

I will make of you a great nation

I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.

12.2

Fear not, Abram

I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.

15.1

I am God Almighty

Walk before me, and be blameless,

that I may make my covenant between me and you

17:1-2

Not sure of the timeline between those three chapters.

But Abraham, certainly,

was hearing these wonderful loving words from God, in spurts.

It’s not like that with us.

You and I have the eternal Word

right there on the little table next to our favorite chair.

All throughout it, God declares these kinds of things to us.

Every day, every way, He’s got love to say.

The Book, wow.

God’s love, wow wow.

Relationship with the Creator, wow wow wow.
