Lacking and looking

I was struck by Ps 34.9.

Oh, fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack!  

Truth be told, missionaries who live by faith, often feel like we lack. But the scripture here says it just ain’t so.

 

The Holy Spirit whispers that we do not lack, but, rather, we look.

We look to Jesus.

We look to Him as our provider.

And sometimes that provision comes chronologically late, according to our meek human perspective.

 

But no.

 

Because we are looking, we simply are not lacking.

We believe.

That is a solid first step.

And then we wait.
