I wonder.

I sought the LORD, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.

Ps 34.4

When he wrote this, David was afraid of Abimelech. My musing, today, has me asking from what was David delivered.

Was the problem with Abimelech taken care of? Or did the situation remain tenuous, but God simple freed David from his fear?

I wonder.
