Job agrees with Paul

And concerning yesterday’s 3 S’s: stable, steadfast, and shifting-not,

Job said in this morning’s reading:

 

My foot has held fast to his steps;

I have kept his way and have not turned aside. 

I have not departed from the commandment of his lips

Job 23:11-12a

 

 

Job’s pen is perhaps not as alliterate as Paul’s,

but he’s saying much the same thing.

 

And what is helping him make it happen is in the second half of verse 12:

 

I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my portion of food

Job 23.12b

 

 

Seems like Mr Job was a muser, too
