I want to be like that

Continuing in Matthew 9's third of seven stories we have a daddy in need, and I am awed by his faith.


That father said to the Son, “My daughter has just died. But, come, lay your hand on her, and she shall live.”

Wow. Maybe he was Mary and Martha’s cousin.

And interrupting the Jairus story we have the lady who had been bleeding just about since Jairus’s daughter was born—twelve years previously. This lady also had faith. She believed in Him and in hems… “If I can just touch the hem of his garment.”

I don’t know if she was making up a new doctrine or if someone had told her about what happened in Gennesaret (Mt 14.36; Mark 6.56), but she believed. And it happened.

I want to believe like that.
