I love a good challenge

This morning as I read:

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’

But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent

has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”

It brought excitement to my soul!

I know that it’s a concept that can readily exasperate a person—“This is going way overboard, how can I possibly not even think about it?”

But I see it as a reminder, and an invitation, to seek holiness. “Be ye holy, just like I am holy.”

And He has given me the tools to “take captive” those thoughts that are outside the box.

And He has whispered to me that part of the key is to think on things that are virtuous and true and honorable and pure.

I can do this.

I do love a good challenge.
