In John chapter 4 we have another whole story taking place...

But first the intro:

4.43 Jesus headed to Galilee.

4.44 “For” He had mentioned previously that a prophet gets no respect on his own turf.

(Sidebar: I do not understand the preposition “for” here, it sounds contrary to the flow of the passage… as if He went to Galilee because people did not honor Him there… but I do not want to nitpick about that, I have other things to nitpick about this morning.)

4.45 The Galileans rolled out the red carpet for Him because they were impressed with the things He had done in Jerusalem at the feast.

Hmmm…

The spoiler tells us He was about to do his second miracle (4.54).

So… so… tell me, please, what “signs” the Galileans saw in Jerusalem (Jn 2.23) that impressed them so greatly?
