Dodging bullets

There was a shootout over the weekend in a town about three hours south of us. It resulted in 10 deaths in the town where one family from the Porvenir church has planted a ministry to the down-and-out.

It was cartel vs cartel. It happened right in the town square on a busy Saturday afternoon. The Porvenir family happened to be right there. We are thankful that no wayward bullet came their way.

This morning that family was with us for Sunday service. Alfredo shared about the shooting. They themselves have also been threatened by the cartels in the past. These heroes of the faith have guts.
