My pastor friend Gerry and I have been chatting about the fear of the Lord.

I know that fear of the sword makes a person flee, but fear of the Lord makes a person see. But beyond that… I am open to learning.

Today the Psalmist reminds me:

Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack!

Come, O children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

Psalm 34.9; 34.11
