A two-part answer

So, this woman said to Jesus:

Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts at which you nursed.

Jesus didn’t seem to think so.


His response was:

Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!

It is a two-part answer.

One must both hear the word. And walk in its truth.


But...

But, oh, but.


Those who do not have the opportunity to hear the word, lose out on the blessing.

It’s simply not going to come their way.


They have no possibility of walking in the truth of the word if no one takes that word to them.

Ouch.
