Chapter one’s final statement begins with:

For this [“warning everyone and teaching everyone”] I toil,

Col 1.29

“I toil” could seem ugly.

In today’s vernacular, “toil” sounds nasty, and grungy.

But Paul wasn’t saying that.

I believe he was talking about serving.

And that is how I choose to live my life—serving.
