This morning in Colossians

God… having forgiven us all our trespasses

Col 2.13c

Hmmm, that sound vaguely familiar.

Like I heard it somewhere on a mountain.

Although here it is even better than I remember

because here it includes the gigantic word “all!”

ALL our trespasses have been forgiven!

The verb tense of “having forgiven,”

according to my sloppy grasp of English grammar,

is the “perfect participle.”

And that sounds perfectly perfect to me because it has all been taken care of.

What a way to live!
